whatson: elisha: Don’t criticize, condemn or complain. Give honest and sincere appreciation. Arouse in the other person an eager want. How to Win Friends and Influence People should be required reading. I’m listening to the audiobook, and it really is great.  Although some of the examples are dated, It’s amazing how sociology from the 1930s still applies today.

I poked my head out the balcony tonight, and noticed over two dozen stars in the ordinarily inky sky.  This may not be impressive by midwestern/Canadian standards, but it was enough to make me pause, freak out a little bit, and start IMing other Angelenos to look out their windows. I like stars, I forgot how badass they are.  I hope this becomes a trend.
