a little bit off, or where I think I’m too tired to push through my whole route, but I tell myself that “I’m not trying to set a personal best,” then get out there and do it.  Those have turned out to by some of my best, most satisfying runs.</p><p>On days that you’re not feeling right, just start off at an easier pace (it looks like you were going full-tilt, right off the gate), and let your body decide if it wants to kick ass or not.  Telling yourself that you’re not going out for a personal best, but only to work your legs saves you a lot of disappointment if your run is sub-par, and brings
